Cool Material

I just found this article about my recycled tennis wallets on CoolMaterial.com. I don't know when this was posted but thanks Cool Material! They are not leather (they're recycled vinyl) but that's OK. We'll take it.

Foggy Notion opens March 21

After 10 years of mittenmaker, I'm so happy to report that as of March 21, 2012, my studio will be located inside my new shop, Foggy Notion, on 6th and Clement in San Francisco's Inner Richmond. It's truly a dream come true to have a studio right near my home in the neighborhood I love! Foggy Notion's little corner of the Richmond Plaza is, by far, the most spacious and light-filled studio I've had the pleasure of working in. In addition to my own goods, I'll also be carrying other handmade and unique products I love. You can expect to find:

Bags: backpacks, totes, purses, wallets...things to carry other things
Organic skincare: lotions & soap, serums & salts, balms & scrubs
Home goods: linen kitchen and barware, coasters, aprons, pillows, candles, incense, natural scents

...as well as jewelry, art prints, photography, cards, LP's, lighting, and more.

Foggy Notion
275 6th Ave. #101
San Francisco, CA 94118

Thanks for being a fan of mittenmaker and I hope to see you at Foggy Notion!
xoxo
Alissa

Indie Designers vs. Urban Outfitters

One woman's tweet explodes on the internet, resulting in UO removing the piece in question. How one Tweet really made a difference. Such an interesting article.
